We’re heading back to Twin Lakes, Colorado this August for another Geotrek owners meetup, and we’d love to have you join us.
If you’re thinking about coming, go ahead and RSVP so we can get a sense of who might be there.
We’ll be camping near the lakes above Twin Lakes, with easy access to paddleboarding, fishing, hiking and plenty of room to simply slow down and enjoy the weekend.
This is dispersed camping, so there are no restrooms, hookups or campground amenities. Come prepared to be self-sufficient, and help us leave the area better than we found it by following Leave No Trace principles.
Campsites are first come, first served, and we aren’t able to reserve or hold spots. Arriving earlier will give you the best chance of camping close to the group.
A few of us plan to arrive Thursday morning. Once we’re settled, we’ll share our exact location with the group so everyone can find us.
Beyond that, the weekend is intentionally loose. Spend the day hiking, paddleboarding, fishing, exploring or just hanging around camp.
In the evenings, we’ll come back together around the fire for good food, good conversation and time with fellow Geotrek owners.
No rigid agenda. Just a great place, good people and plenty of ways to spend the weekend.
Roll in, find a campsite and get settled.
Dinner on your own.
Evening: Campfire gathering. Bring your favorite drink and come say hello.
Morning: Bring your coffee and hang out around camp.
Daytime: Loosely organized group hike, paddleboarding or bike ride for anyone interested.
Evening: Casual happy hour at camp. Bring an appetizer to share if you’d like. Geotrek will provide drinks, including wine and simple cocktails.
Spend the day however you’d like: hike, paddleboard, fish, explore or relax around camp.
Evening: Geotrek will fire up the grill and provide burgers for the main course. Feel free to bring a side or dessert to share, but there’s absolutely no pressure.
Bring your own beverage.
We’ll also hand out some Geotrek swag and any patches you’ve earned, then wrap up the evening around the campfire with s’mores.
Break camp, say your goodbyes and head home.
We’ll be dispersed camping in the same general area as last year, near the lakes above Twin Lakes.
