What should I budget for a Geotrek van?

We offer two paths:

  • Model Vans (most popular): Our 2026 Bear Peak model start at $116,900 and Flatiron model start at $134,300. These come fully built on a new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 AWD chassis with a premium layout, off-grid capability, and upgrades already included. Choosing a model van is the fastest and most affordable way to get into a Geotrek build — with quality never sacrificed
  • Custom Builds: If you plan on having Geotrek source you a new or used Sprinter and complete your build, our standard conversion package starts at $33,750. When combined with the cost of the van, most custom projects for an AWD van, begin around $100K.

At Geotrek, you can either choose one of our prebuilt model vans – the Flatiron or Bear Peak – or go with a fully custom build.

Our Model Vans were designed after building more than 500 conversions and learning what most people actually wanted inside their van.

  • Flatiron is built with comfort and off-road capability in mind, featuring air conditioning, generous storage, and an outdoor shower for life on and off the trail.
  • Bear Peak is designed to be compact, nimble, and adventure-ready, with a smart layout and all the essentials for weekends that turn into unforgettable journeys.

A Custom Van gives you the freedom to choose your own features, finishes, and layout. Whether that’s extra seating, additional solar power, or unique storage solutions, we’ll work with you to create a one-of-a-kind build that matches your lifestyle.

Yes. Every Geotrek van can be personalized, but how much depends on whether you choose a Model Van or a Custom Build.

  • Model Vans (Flatiron & Bear Peak): These come with premium features already included – off-grid power, smart layouts, and adventure-ready essentials. But you can still add options like extra seating, expanded solar, gear mounts, or interior finishes to fit your needs.
  • Custom Builds: Fully flexible. You can choose your layout, finishes, power system, storage, and more – essentially building your van from the ground up.

Our vans are designed to comfortably seat and sleep 2–4 people, depending on the layout and options you choose.

  • Model Vans (Flatiron & Bear Peak): Standard configuration includes seating and sleeping for two, with the option to add jump seats and flexible bed layouts to accommodate up to four.
  • Custom Builds: Seating and sleeping arrangements can be tailored to your exact needs, whether that’s two, four, or something in between.

Yes. Both our Model Vans and Custom Builds are designed with the systems, storage, and durability you need for extended travel – and many of our customers do live on the road full-time.

  • Model Vans (Flatiron & Bear Peak): These come with off-grid power, heating, ventilation, and smart storage already built in, so you can comfortably spend weeks or months on the road.
  • Custom Builds: If you’re planning true full-time living, we can tailor the layout, power capacity, and storage to fit your daily needs.
  • Model Vans (Flatiron & Bear Peak): If we have a van in inventory, you can often drive it home the same day. Due to popularity, most models require 2–4 weeks for final prep and build before delivery.
  • Custom Builds: Custom projects typically take 3–4 months from start to finish. The build itself only takes 5–7 days once your van is in our shop – most of the timeline comes from sourcing, scheduling, and other orders in queue.

Availability changes quickly because our Model Vans (Flatiron & Bear Peak) sell fast. If we have one in stock, you could be on the road as soon as today.

Most of the time, demand means our inventory is reserved in advance – but you can still secure your van from the next run. In those cases, expect a short lead time of about 2–4 weeks for final prep and build.

For Custom Builds, availability depends on whether you already have a van or need us to source one. If sourcing is required, plan for a timeline of 3–4 months from order to completion.

Absolutely. We regularly welcome visitors to our Boulder, CO shop to tour vans in progress and see completed builds. If you’d like a closer look at the Flatiron or Bear Peak, schedule a visit with our team and we’ll walk you through every detail.

Yes. While many customers choose to pick up their vans in Boulder, we can arrange delivery anywhere in the U.S. Shipping is fully insured and coordinated through trusted transport partners, so your van arrives safely and ready to drive.

If you’d prefer, you’re always welcome to fly in, pick up your van at our shop, and start your first adventure right from Colorado.

Yes. For our Model Vans (Flatiron & Bear Peak), we source brand-new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter AWD chassis directly for the build.

For custom builds, you can bring us your own Sprinter or we can help you find the perfect chassis for your budget and goals. If you supply your own chassis, there is a $5,000 additional fee. Our team searches nationwide to secure quality vans at the best price and brings them back to Boulder for the build.

We source new Mercedes-Benz Sprinters through dealer networks and our partnerships, and we also search nationwide for high-quality used vans. Every van is inspected and brought back to our shop in Boulder before the build begins, so you know you’re starting with the right foundation.
