Inside the Verus: A Full Sprinter Van Tour of Geotrek’s Class B+ Build

Share

Meet the Verus, Geotrek’s Class B+ camper van built for travelers who want more room without giving up the Sprinter platform.

Built on a 170″ Mercedes-Benz AWD Sprinter cutaway chassis with a purpose-built composite body, the Verus offers 60% more living space than a standard 144″ Sprinter, along with a full indoor shower, a 60 cu. ft. gear garage and an off-grid system designed for extended travel.

In the full Sprinter van tour below, Ryan takes you through the Verus from front to back. Here’s a closer look at what you’ll find along the way.

A different approach to the Class B+ Sprinter van

Most camper vans start with the limitations of the van body itself. The Verus starts differently.

Its purpose-built composite body creates substantially more usable interior space on a Mercedes-Benz AWD Sprinter platform.

The added space makes room for things that are hard to fit into a standard van: a 60 cu. ft. gear garage, full indoor shower, larger kitchen, 43 gallons of fresh water and a permanent queen bed.

What goes into building the Verus

The Verus didn’t start with a list of RV features. It started with a question: how much more could Geotrek get out of the Sprinter platform without giving up the capability that made the platform appealing in the first place?

When Mercedes-Benz introduced the AWD cab chassis, it gave the team room to rethink the traditional van body entirely. Instead of working within the existing Sprinter shell, Geotrek designed a purpose-built composite body around the living space, storage and systems they wanted to create.

That required a very different build process. The composite panels use structural foam, and the body has to come together with extremely tight tolerances before anything inside can be installed.

As the team put it during development:

“Everything’s in millimeters.”

If the box isn’t built precisely, the rest of the interior doesn’t fit the way it was designed to.

And they didn’t stop at designing it on paper. The team tested the panel construction with impacts and load tests, including a glue-joint test that held 5,100 pounds even before the adhesive had reached its full cure time.

The goal wasn’t to make the Verus different for the sake of being different. It was to question each part of the design, test it, and keep improving it before putting the Verus on the road. That continuous-improvement mindset was part of the project from the beginning.

A full indoor shower

One of the biggest differences between the Verus and many traditional camper vans is the fully enclosed indoor shower.

The shower measures 26″ x 33″ with full standing height and includes a skylight overhead for added light and ventilation.

60 cu. ft. of dedicated gear storage

At the rear of the Verus is a 60 cu. ft. gear garage designed to keep adventure equipment out of the main living area.

Bikes, camping gear, climbing equipment and other essentials can have their own dedicated space, while key electrical and water systems remain accessible from the rear.

More room to live inside

That extra space is what makes the Verus feel less like a traditional camper van and more like a true B+ Sprinter built for extended travel.

Swivel front seats open the cab into the living space, while a dedicated workspace gives you a place to work, eat or plan the next leg of the trip without taking over the rest of the van.

A kitchen built for real travel

This is a kitchen you can actually cook in.

There’s generous prep space, an additional countertop extension and an 8 cu. ft. refrigerator with a large freezer compartment.

Systems built for extended travel

The Verus comes standard with a 10 kWh EcoFlow power system, 1,000 watts of roof-mounted solar and 43 gallons of fresh water.

Power can be replenished through solar, shore power or alternator charging while you drive, while the larger fresh-water capacity gives you more flexibility for cooking, dishes and showers when you’re away from hookups.

A dedicated Sleep Studio

The rear Sleep Studio features a full queen bed, built-in reading lights and USB-C charging on both sides.

A skylight overhead brings in natural light and gives you a view of the stars from bed.

FAQs About the Geotrek Verus

Is the Verus a four-season camper van?

Yes. The Verus is built for four-season travel with an R-11 insulated composite body, Espar diesel heat and a 48V heat-pump AC system.

How long can the Verus stay off-grid?

With the standard 10kWh power system and 1,000W of solar, the Verus is designed for several days to a week or more off-grid, depending on weather, solar conditions and how much power you use.

Can I add more battery capacity?

Yes. The standard Verus includes 10kWh of battery capacity, with an available 5kWh upgrade for travelers who want additional off-grid power.

Can I add more solar to the Verus?

The roof is already maxed out at 1,000W of solar, but the EcoFlow system supports portable solar panels through its MC4 connection.

Does the Verus have a toilet?

The Verus includes a fully enclosed indoor shower, and optional toilet configurations are available depending on the setup you prefer.

How long can the air conditioning run on battery power?

Air-conditioning runtime depends on outside temperature, thermostat settings, solar input and what else is drawing from the battery. The Verus pairs a 10 kWh power system with 1,000 watts of solar and is designed for extended off-grid use with climate control as part of the overall power load.
