Why Geotrek

Share

In 2021, Mark Woodward and Grant McCrabb set out to do something the RV industry hadn’t seen: a premium off grid campervan sold directly to the people who would actually live in it.

No dealerships. No middlemen. No materials that looked good in a showroom and fell short six months into real use. And no warranties buried in fine print.

The RV industry had been cutting corners for a long time. Cheap plywood hidden behind glossy finishes. Dealers adding margin without adding value. Mark and Grant weren’t interested in repeating any of it.

So they started Geotrek.

Five years later, Geotrek has earned a reputation as one of the most respected names in the off grid campervan space. The kind that comes from owners who use their vans hard and come back to tell people about it.

Here’s what that looks like from the inside.

The idea was straightforward: sell directly to the people who would actually live in these vans, refuse to compromise on materials, and stand behind the work when something goes wrong. No middlemen. No shortcuts. No fine print.

Direct to You

Most van companies sell through dealerships. That means a salesperson who didn’t design the van, a markup that has nothing to do with what’s inside it, and a service experience where the people who can actually answer your questions are three phone calls away.

Geotrek cut all of that out. When you buy a Geotrek, you’re working directly with the team that designed it. Questions get real answers. The price reflects what it actually costs to engineer something great. And when something comes up down the road, you’re not starting from scratch with a stranger.

High quality off grid campervans should be price accessible. That’s only possible when you remove the people in between.

No Shortcuts

The RV industry has a materials problem. MDF, cheap plywood, finishes that look great in a showroom and start showing their age six months into real use. It’s an industry-wide habit, and it’s one Geotrek has never been willing to adopt.

Every Geotrek runs on a customized Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, one of the most proven platforms on the road. Inside, solid bamboo replaces the plywood standard. Fenix laminate, Baltic birch, 3M Thinsulate, and Lizard Skin thermal barrier throughout. When the sun is beating down on the roof, you don’t feel it inside. These aren’t upgrades. They’re the baseline.

Everything is designed in Colorado and tested across the country. Power, water, insulation, and layout are engineered to work together, refined by real owner feedback and real terrain.

3 Years, Zero Fine Print

Geotrek backs every van with a 3-year / 36,000-mile comprehensive warranty and 24/7 customer support. Not a limited warranty. Not a warranty that requires you to read four pages of exclusions before you know what’s covered.

Your experience doesn’t end when you pull out of the shop, and neither does the team. Reachable anytime, for as long as you own your van.

The Geotrek Community

When you buy a Geotrek, you join something bigger than a van.

Owner meetups, group trips, route recommendations, the kind of trip intel that doesn’t show up on any app. A community of people who actually use their vans, go to the hard-to-find places, and are genuinely glad to share what they know.

The van gets you out there. The community keeps you connected once you are.
